We are planning the following voyages

PITCAIRN EXPEDITIONS
(Home of the HMS Bounty Mutineers)
From January to April each year we run one-week, two-week & three-week voyages to the Pitcairn Islands. At this time of year (summer in the Southern Hemisphere) we get the best weather conditions for visiting the outer islands of the group. We welcome history enthusiasts, birders, scientists, scuba divers, amateur radio operators and adventure tourists
Accommodation on Pitcairn: When we are at Pitcairn Island you will be hosted ashore with
the local families - don't miss this opportunity to live among one of the most remote communities in the world
Henderson Island (a World Heritage Site), Oeno Atoll and Ducie Atoll are also visited on the longer voyages, they are all pristine uninhabited tropical islands - paradise indeed. We camp ashore at Oeno and Ducie weather permitting.
Watching the descendants of Fletcher Christian burn a model of the HMS Bounty on "Bounty Day" in celebration of their national holiday (23rd January) is something you will never forget.
Flights: We meet Air Tahiti flight VT951 in Mangareva (Gambier Islands) This weekly roundtrip flight departs from Papeete (Tahiti) at about 6am on Tuesday mornings - arriving about 10am. This flight returns to Papeete the same day, departing the Gambier Islands at noon and arriving about 4pm in Papeete.

Science Expeditions
(2010 & 2011)
1. Phoenix Islands Restoration Project
Invasive species eradications and bird surveys were conducted on McKean and Rawaki in May/June 2008 and November/December 2009. We plan to continue our island restoration projects focusing on Enderbury, Birnie, Kanton and Orona (Hull) Islands
2. Tokelau Biodiversity Survey
Planned for August 2010 - this is three weeks of biodiversity surveying in a joint venture with EcoOceania. With the results of this survey we will be able to plan focused island restoration projects in the years to come
3. Vanuatu Conservation Survey
Planned for late 2010. A month of invasive species surveys and bird counts on the outlying islands of Vanuatu. Establishing rat and feral cat free wildlife sanctuaries is our long term goal.
4. Lau Biodiversity & Conservation Survey
For this long-term project we are in a joint venture with the Lau Provincial Council (Fiji) to identify suitable islands and reefs for incorporation into a "Lau Provincial Park". This preliminary biodiversity survey is conducted in co-operation with scientists from the University of the South Pacific (in Suva) and conservation NGOs such as BirdLife International and the WWF. This project goes hand in hand with the development of eco-tourism in the Lau Archipelago, and hence will enhance sustainable economic development in these remote islands.
Science Volunteers
Volunteers will be considered on these scientific expeditions. Note: a reasonable state of fitness is essential. Flexibility and good humour in difficult circumstances are essential. Exploration is both fun and hard work – join us to find out.
