Booking A Trip With Us

We'd love to take you for an expedition in the Pacific. Contact us and we will make a booking for you and help you arrange things - see What you need to know for more details of life aboard R/V Bounty Bay.

1. RESERVATIONS:
Email to us at info@pacific-expeditions.com - or telephone us on +682-52400 - and we will reserve you a place on an expedition. After this you will need to send the fare to our bank account in the Cook Islands - or pay us by credit card - within 14 days of making your booking.

2. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:
Pacific Expeditions must receive notification of cancellation in writing. At the time we receive your written cancellation, refunds based on the total fare are as follows:
Cancellation more than 90 days prior to departure = 50% refund
Cancellation 30 - 90 days prior to departure = 25% refund
Cancellation less than 30 days prior to departue = no refund

3. EXPEDITION CANCELLATION AND INTERRUPTION INSURANCE AND TRAVEL INSURANCE:
We strongly advise that all travelers purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance as protection against an emergency that may force you to cancel or leave an expedition while it is in progress. We also strongly advise that all passengers purchase travel insurance. Expeditions to Pitcairn require travel insurance (including medical evacuation) as a pre-requisite to land on the island.

4. MEDICAL INFORMATION:
Participation in our expeditions requires that you be in generally good health. It is essential that persons with any medical problems and related dietary restrictions make them known to us well before departure. We can counsel you on whether the expedition you have selected is appropriate for you. The Captain of the Bounty Bay has the right to disqualify any participant at any time during the voyage if he, or she, feels the participant is physically incapable and/or if a participant’s continued participation will jeopardize either the individual involved, or the group. There will be no refund given under these circumstances.

5. CURRENCY AND FUEL PRICE FLUCTUATION:
In order to keep our rates as low as possible, we do not build into the price an allowance to cover possible increases from currency fluctuations and/or increase in diesel fuel costs. Therefore, as currencies and fuel prices do fluctuate constantly around the world, it may be necessary for us to raise the trip fare at any time before departure if there is exceptional cost increases beyond our control.

6. ITINERARY CHANGES & TRIP DELAY:
Itineraries are based on information available at the time of printing and are subject to change. Pacific Expeditions reserves the right to change expedition dates, staff or itineraries as conditions warrant. If a trip must be delayed or the itinerary changed due to bad weather, road conditions, transportation delays, government intervention, airline schedules, sickness, or other contingency for which Pacific Expeditions or its agents cannot make provision, the cost of delays and/or other changes are the responsibility of the passenger.

7. ITINERARY CANCELLATION:
Pacific Expeditions reserves the right to cancel an itinerary before departure for any reason whatsoever, including too few participants or logistical problems such as strikes, wars, acts of God, or any other circumstances that may make operation of the trip inadvisable. All trip payments received will be promptly refunded, and this refund will be the limit of Pacific Expeditions liability. Pacific Expeditions is not responsible for any expenses incurred by expedition members in preparing for the trip, including non refundable or penalty-carrying airline tickets, special clothing, visa or passport fees, or other trip-related expenses.

8. PARTICIPATION:
Pacific Expeditions reserves the right to decline, or accept, any individual as a trip member for any reason whatsoever.

9. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:
This section defines Pacific Expeditions responsibility with respect to all of our trips, including extensions and independent arrangements. Please read it carefully.
